The tiltrotator significantly advances the capabilities of excavators and backhoes by enabling greater flexibility and precision. Typically described as a wrist between the arm and bucket of an excavator, the tool is a hydraulic attachment, which allows an excavator operator to rotate an implement 360 degrees, as well as tilt the implement up to 45 degrees side-to-side.
The tiltrotator’s hydraulic functions can also be used to power and manipulate other work tools such as a breaker, grapple or an auger, dramatically increasing the excavator’s function on the jobsite. The control system for the tiltrotator can conveniently be operated via joystick from the cabin.
Originally developed by Noreco, the tiltrotator has become a standard in the Nordic countries. In recent years, the tiltrotator has gained popularity in Netherlands, Germany, UK, Japan, Canada and United States.
Rototilt is one of the leading companies innovating design and technology for the tiltrotator, developing at solid product range.
Rototilt has also developed a QuickChange system – exchanging tools automatically – for machine couplers, tiltrotators and other tools, to change hydraulic and electronic tools conveniently without leaving the cab. Their SecureLock ensures tools are coupled correctly for safety and efficiency.
For the last 12 years, our mechanic, Andy Lipowski, has worked with the Rotatilt brand, specialising in Rototilt products and technology.
